Irakli Purceladze – ATSU Alumni

Irakli Purceladze – a 27-year-old electric engineer.

“It can be said, that a profession changes and creates a life. It defines our social status. We rarely get a decision about choosing a profession. It is quite interesting how we choose a profession, whether our choice is free or not, what things we need to consider while making a professional choice. I, for example, became an engineer as my father and grandfather are engineers and I did not think much about my future profession. I am lucky I like my profession at present, though, it could be different. Unfortunately, not everyone is lucky.

At the moment I am a doctoral student of Akaki Tsereteli State University and work at Mtkvari Hess. A few years ago I formed a non-governmental organization “Students for energy effectiveness”. I am interested in the issues which are related to the energy effectiveness and climatic changes and I work on making firm discussions about these issues.

People who are making their professional choices I would advise: be free in your choices and learn those things that robots won’t be able to do in the near future. Do not compete robots in being robots. Let yourselves have unique personal reality”.
